TOPS IN BLUE VISITS ABILENE CIVIC CENTER

The U.S. Air Force's Tops In Blue offers a free night of family entertainment at the Abilene Civic Center May 30, 2011, at 7 p.m.

Tops In Blue 2011 entitled "Rhythm Nation" will feature music from great performers like the jazz of Nat King Cole and Billie Holiday, the great rock n' roll sounds of Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis, the cool Motown R&B of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, hits by J-Lo and Michael Franti, and some inspirational country sounds.

"Tops In Blue is the Air Force's premier entertainment showcase," said Tom Edwards, show producer and chief of Air Force Entertainment. "The new 2011 team is a reflection of the 'best of the best' performers throughout the Air Force."

The Tops In Blue 2011 team will visit more than 125 locations in the United States and 25 foreign countries.

Admission is free and the show is open to the public.
