U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Erika Osorio, 7th Medical Group, prepares to inject a numbing agent into a patient’s toe at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. While deployed in Bagram, Osorio was assigned to the 1st and 10th Sustainment Brigades as a Combat Medic. She worked with an Army unit that conducted convoy operations throughout the region.
