DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas—Senior Airman Jason Ignacio, 40th Airlift Squadron, secures a bundle on the C-130J Super Hercules June 17 as part of a 22-bundle mass container delivery system airdrop at Bronte Drop Zone over Bronte city to demonstrate the capabilities of the C-130J-model. The regular C-130 Hercules’ are only capable of carrying 16 bundles. The 317th Airlfit Group will be training more on this to help prepare them for deployments. 317th Airlift Group: Developing a culture of innovation

Senior Airman Benjamin Glenn, 317th Maintenance Squadron, the second “serial innovator,” implemented a different method for inventorying bench stock items. Instead of individually counting high volumes of items by hand, which is how it’s always been done, he suggested to weighing bench stock items by bulk, which reduced workload by a factor of 89 percent in man-hours, ultimately saving 40 hours and $2,080 per month.
