Dyess Airmen witness effects of drunk driving
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Kassondra Cline, 39th Airlift Squadron, attempts to walk a straight line during a field sobriety test given by Senior Airman Nickolas Paxton, 7th Security Forces Squadron, March 21, 2014, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. For the 317th Airlift Group’s Comprehensive Airman Fitness event, selected Airmen consumed a limited number of alcoholic beverages, in a controlled environment, and were then asked to demonstrate their ability to drive safely, or perform other tasks that require unimpaired motor skills or hand and eye coordination. The purpose of this event was to demonstrate the effects that four to five drinks can have on someone’s driving ability. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Autumn Velez/Released)
