Dyess Child Development Center renamed in honor of former Texas senator
Base leadership, community leaders and other distinguished guests to include former U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, cut a ribbon in front of the newly named Kay Bailey Hutchison Child Development Center (CDC) Oct. 15, 2014, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. The CDC on Dyess has been the number one child care facility in Air Combat Command for each of the last two years. The $5.4 million, 26,000-square foot facility was built in 2002, holds 18 classrooms, and has the capacity to care for 247 children.
