Zoo offers free visit on Armed Forces Day

The Abilene Zoo is opening its doors for free admission to all military ID card holders and their families May 17 in honor of Armed Forces from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The annual Zoolute to Dyess will offer military members and their families free entertainment as well as a free lunch provided by local businesses. 

The day will start off with a flag ceremony conducted by the Cooper High Air Force Junior ROTC. Entertainment will also include multiple musical performances from groups across Abilene, a car show, a martial arts demonstration, a tour of the new Creepy Crawler Center, and much more.
