Zoo offers free visit on Armed Forces Day

DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The Abilene Zoo is opening its doors for free admission to all military ID card holders and their families May 17 in honor of Armed Forces from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The annual Zoolute to Dyess will offer military members and their families free entertainment as well as a free lunch provided by local businesses.

The day will start off with a flag ceremony conducted by the Cooper High Air Force Junior ROTC. Entertainment will also include multiple musical performances from groups across Abilene, a car show, a martial arts demonstration, a tour of the new Creepy Crawler Center, and much more.
