DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The Air Force recently established the Women’s Health Transition Pilot Program course.
The initiative is a joint effort with the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide a female perspective to active-duty, Reserve and guard servicewomen who plan to transition to civilian or Reserve/Guard status.
Though Dyess doesn’t offer the program in-house, female Airmen can request to go on a temporary duty assignment to a base that provides the course. The TDY would be unit-funded if it gets approved by the Airman’s squadron commander.
