Beginning June 23, Total Force Airmen and Guardians will have the capability to learn anywhere, anytime, and on any device, with the help of a myLearning username and password.

Air Education and Training Command officials announced the addition of the new identity access management tool to the learning system, which will give personnel with a Common Access Card the ability to create a username and password to log into myLearning and myTraining on personally owned devices (e.g., phone, tablet, laptop, etc.), with the aid of a third-party authentication application.

This also allows units who have missions outside the office environment, such as maintenance, security forces, or logistics readiness, to complete their training away from a government owned computer, Oakland said.

To create a username and password, users must first log into myLearning with their CAC on the government network. Airmen can use a mobile device with the security authentication applications FreeOTP or Google Authenticator, which are both free and available on the device's app store.
