7th Bomb Wing welcomes new commander

Airmen assigned to the 7th Bomb Wing watch as the new wing commander’s name is unveiled on a B-1B Lancer during a change of command ceremony at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, June 26, 2026. The ceremony welcomed Col. Robert "Ripper" Sturgill Jr. as the new wing commander, placing him in charge of ensuring the readiness and resilience of the more than 15,500 military and civilian personnel, families, and retirees associated with the installation.
