Dyess Airmen prepare “Apocalypse II” for operational service
The “Apocalypse II” nose art is displayed on the 7th Bomb Wing’s new flagship B-1B Lancer at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, April 27, 2026. The freshly applied artwork honors the World War II crew of the B-24J Liberator "Apocalypse" and marks the final step in regenerating tail number 86-0115 for its return to the operational bomber fleet.
