First civilians graduate from Dyess ALS
Master Sgt. Donald Sanders, 317th Operations Support Squadron first sergeant, poses for a photo with Zachary Sandefur, 7th Civil Engineering Squadron military housing assistant, at the Dyess Airman Leadership School graduation inside the Hangar Center on Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, Aug. 3, 2023. Sandefur was one of two personnel to be the first civilians to graduate from the Dyess ALS. Having civilians go through the 24-day program helps them gain perspective on enlisted professional military education and teamwork while developing a more lethal and ready force.
