7th MXG leverages new technology
A 7th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Airman plugs a wireless central communication gateway into a B-1B Lancer at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, August 3, 2023. The wireless headsets work by plugging in the gateway into the aircraft that opens a connection to everyone wearing the equipment. This speeds up the communication process while simultaneously streamlining communication and eliminating room for error. Allowing everyone to hear discussions directly, rather than relying on back-and-forth chatter or having a middleman, allows aircrew to generate airpower faster and more effectively. (Courtesy photo)
