Dyess AFB conducts active shooter exercise
Tech. Sgt. Bailey Hulett, 28th Bomb Squadron flight and operational medical technician, and Capt. Tiffany Russell, 7th Medical Group flight surgeon, practice providing on-site response aid to Senior Airman Giovanny Rodriguez, 7th Munitions Squadron munitions stockpile manager and exercise role player, during an active shooter exercise at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, May 24, 2022. The use of role players, blank ammunition and a professional moulage team to dress up role players provided a realistic scene to test responses of all entities. The preparation and urgency of medical personnel is an essential metric to gauge their effectiveness in real world emergencies. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Curtis Balko)
