TORQE 62 memorial day events
Airmen assigned to Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, stop for water after finishing their run in the TORQE 62 memorial run Oct. 2, 2019. A C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, call sign TORQE 62, crashed in Afghanistan during a deployment and caused the deaths of 14 service members, contactors and allied troops. The aircrew onboard were Airmen from the 39th Airlift Squadron: Capt. Jordan Pierson, Capt. Jonathan “JJ” Golden, Staff Sgt. Ryan Hammond and Senior Airman Quinn Johnson-Harris. Along with the aircrew were two defenders from the 66th Security Forces Squadron, Hanscom AFB, Mass.: Senior Airman Nathan Sartain and Airman 1st Class Kcey Ruiz.
