TORQE 62 memorial day events
Capt. Travis Thornton, 39th Airlift Squadron pilot, speaks to TORQE 62 family members and friends in Abilene, Texas, Oct. 2, 2019. A C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, call sign TORQE 62, crashed in Afghanistan during a deployment and caused the deaths of 14 service members, contactors and allied troops. The aircrew onboard were Airmen from the 39th Airlift Squadron: Capt. Jordan Pierson, Capt. Jonathan “JJ” Golden, Staff Sgt. Ryan Hammond and Senior Airman Quinn Johnson-Harris.
