7th EMS receives augmented reality welding system, improves real-world welding

Airman 1st Class Taylor Dow, 7th Equipment Maintenance Squadron metals technology apprentice, moves a metal inert gas welding torch across the augmented reality welding system board as he completes training at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, Aug. 5, 2019. For Airmen who go through their upgrade training on the system, it will save the metal technology section approximately $25,000 in gas and material costs and about 120 manhours per Airmen.
