7th EMS receives augmented reality welding system, improves real-world welding
Airman 1st Class Joshua Wetzel, 7th Equipment Maintenance Squadron metals technology journeyman, cuts a half-inch steel plate using a torch at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, July 25, 2019. For Airmen who go through their upgrade training on the augmented reality welding system, it will save the metal technology section approximately $25,000 in gas and material costs and about 120 manhours per Airmen.
