Air Force, Army conduct joint deployment prep exercises

U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 428th Field Artillery Brigade from Fort Sill, Oklahoma, prepare to load artillery and a Humvee into a C-130J Super Hercules at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, May 1, 2019. The brigade worked with the 39th Airlift Squadron and 40th Airlift Squadron from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, during an Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise. Working with other service branches, like the Army, helps the aircrew to understand the needs and limitations to prepare for follow on operations and gives them feedback for how they can improve the operations.
