Memorial run honors TORQE 62 Airmen
U.S. Air Force Airmen, family and friends fill up cups of water after finishing the TORQE 62 memorial run at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, Oct. 2, 2018. During a deployment in Afghanistan on Oct. 2, 2015, a C-130J Super Hercules, call-sign TORQE 62, crashed after takeoff. The crash led to the death of six Airmen and five contractors; four of those Airmen were stationed at Dyess AFB and assigned to the 39th Airlift Squadron. Each year Team Dyess honors Capt. Jordan Pierson, Capt. Jonathan “JJ” Golden, Staff Sgt. Ryan Hammond and Senior Airman Quinn Johnson-Harris.
