A U.S. Air Force Airman assigned to the 317th Airlift Wing hugs his spouse at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, Sept. 17, 2018, after returning from a deployment. During the 317th Airlift Wing’s deployment to Afghanistan, Airmen flew over 500 missions and approximately 3,000 sorties and moved 15,000 tons of cargo and transported 20,000 passengers, 64 patients needing aeromedical evacuation and around 200 distinguished visitors.
