Back to school: How to prepare

The 2018-19 school year for the Abilene Independent School District begins Aug. 22, and there’s a lot to be done to ensure kids, and their parents, are adequately prepared. The Delaware Gate, located by Dyess Elementary, will be open from 7-8 a.m. and 2:30-3:45 p.m. During these hours, traffic will flow one-way from Alabama to Kansas road along Louisiana.
