Safeguarding airfield operations

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Andrea Orozco, 7th Operations Support Squadron airfield management shift leader, communicates with Airmen in the air traffic control tower on one of the runways at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, March 14, 2018. Orozco was performing a routine search for anything on the runway that could cause foreign-object damage to aircraft. Per regulation, airfield management relays their whereabouts to the tower so that they know when and where it’s safe to be on the runway. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman River Bruce)
