The 7th Operations Support Squadron air traffic control tower stands to the side of a fleet of C-130J Super Hercules at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, Aug. 9, 2017. Air traffic controllers perform 100 to 150 operations a day including Visual Flight Rule and Instrument Flight Rule approaches, which identifies the lowest weather conditions needed to land.
