7 SFS K-9 handlers and military working dogs train in local community
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Timothy Castillo, 7th Security Forces Squadron K-9 handler, plants a wire at the Mall of Abilene June 23, 2015, Abilene, Texas. Planting wires is a way for the military working dogs to train on sniffing out different types of contraband that could be used in real-world scenarios. The 7th SFS K-9 handlers conducted an exercise at the local mall to allow the military working dogs a different environment to train in than what they are used to.
