Joint EOD training at Dyess
75th Ordnance Disposal Company, 79th Ordnance Disposal Battalion, 71st Ordnance Group Explosive Ordnance Disposal team members, watch as an F6A robot approaches a simulated improvised explosive device Aug. 12, 2014, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. Team members from the 75th OD joined Airmen from the 7th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal flight, to accomplish joint training. Both units gained hands-on experience with EOD robotic systems and equipment that they would otherwise not have access to at their home station. The Talon and Packbot systems provided by the 75th OD are two of the most common robots used by Air Force EOD members in deployed environments.
