Free of FOD for 1,500 days

Dyess Airmen conduct a Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walk down the flightline Sept. 9, 2013, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. On Aug. 29, Dyess reached a new pinnacle of FOD prevention; 1,500 days without a chargeable FOD incident. FOD is considered a substance, debris or article alien to a vehicle or system which can cause significant damage. The Wing FOD management office hosts monthly FOD walks to minimize possible damage to aircraft from debris. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Richard Ebensberger/Released)
