Tis the season to be safe
The Dyess Safety Office advises to avoid driving on New Year’s Eve, to prevent the risk of being involved in a crash with an intoxicated driver. Studies show New Year’s Eve statistically has one of the highest rates of drunk-driving fatalities. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, nearly 900 people are killed and 76,000 people are injured in vehicle crashes during winter conditions yearly. (Courtesy graphic)
