337th TES assures JASSM-ER carriage capability
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Brian Johnson, 7th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, removes a Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile-Extended Range from a B-1B Lancer Dec. 12, 2013, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. The JASSM-ER (AGM-158B) is identical to the baseline JASSM (AGM-158A) on the outside, internally however, a more fuel-efficient turbofan engine and additional fuel on board enables the bomb to destroy targets at more than two-and-a-half times the distance of the original JASSM.
