Rebuilding the Bone, one piece at a time
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Joshua Elkins, 7th Equipment Maintenance Squadron aircraft structural maintenance, trims a section of stainless steel with a pneumatic side angle grinder, which will be used to repair a B-1B Lancer engine cowling door March 26, 2014, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. Due to companies no longer manufacturing many of the parts that make up the B-1B Lancer, the 7th EMS must fabricate their own. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Airman 1st Class Autumn Velez/Released)
