Rebuilding the Bone, one piece at a time

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Joshua Elkins, 7th Equipment Maintenance Squadron aircraft structural maintenance, repairs a section of a B-1B Lancer cowling door March 26, 2014, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. By cutting out this portion of the cowling door and replacing it, the Air Force saved $505,000 in supply procurement costs by not having to buy a completely new door.
