Dyess, area fire departments work together to suppress 3-day Camp Barkeley fire

The Dyess Air Force Base Fire Department assisted local fire departments during a 1,600 acre wildfire April 27, 2014, at Camp Barkeley near Buffalo Gap, Texas. High winds added to the fire’s strength with wind gusts reaching more than 50 miles per hour. Dyess maintains a mutual aid agreement with the surrounding local fire departments which allows them to assist each other during emergencies such as this. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
