Hot fun in the summertime: preventing heat-related illnesses
Table A2.2 from Air Force Pamphlet 48-151 shows each Wet Bulb Globe Thermometer stage, temperature range and flag color. Each flag color relates to a different heat stress condition in which Airmen will be informed of which work/rest cycle to follow. The 7th Aerospace Medicine Squadron Bioenvironmental Engineering Flight checks the temperature every hour of the day to ensure members are aware of the current heat-stress condition.
