CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas- Patients were carried one by one off of a C-130 and returned to the staging facility after the evacuation of Corpus Christi was cancelled, Sept. 11. After being notified of immediate evacuation the staging facility was set up and ready for use within two hours. The Air Force and other military forces not only respond in support of war efforts abroad but also to threats on the home front including natural disasters.
