JOINT BASE BALAD, Iraq ? Tech. Sgt. Dwayne Jackson, 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron firefighter, salutes the U.S. flag during a memorial ceremony honoring fallen firefighter, Staff Sgt. Ray Rangel. Today marks the four-year anniversary of Rangel?s death. Rangel, a fire emergency services technician, died Feb. 13, 2005, while attempting to save two Soldiers trapped in an overturned humvee in a canal in northern Iraq. Jackson is currently deployed here from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, and is a native Albuquerque, N.M. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Dilia Ayala)
