Chaplain Captain Gildardo Garcia and Colonel Bernard Mater, 317th Airlift Group commander, officially open the new chaplain and Airman Family Readiness Center office in the 317th AG. The new flightline Chaplain's Office and Airmen and Family Readiness Center Office are co-located in the maintenance and operations building. Everyone in the 317th AG now has easier access to Chaplain Garcia for a few hours at least once a week and to Mr. Bob Sayer for an entire day at least once a month. During the ceremony,
Col. Mater expressed his gratitude to Team Dyess and their unyielding support for the Airmen of the Fightin' 3-1-7. It's great to know that we can still find ways to put our Airmen First, even with our current high ops tempo," Col. Mater said. "And, who says no one makes house calls anymore!"
