All aboard!
JOINT BASE BALAD, Iraq -- Servicemembers and cargo are loaded onto a C-130 Hercules from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, here, June 18. The Air Force servicemembers are redeploying home following successful four- and six-month deployments. Personnel are continuously rotating into and out of the base, which is a hub for intra- and inter-theater traffic. The flexible design of the Hercules enables it to be rapidly configured for many different missions, including cargo and personnel movement. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Senior Airman Julianne Showalter)
