Dyess delivers relief equipment to Haiti

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti -- A 317th Airlift Group Airman hurries to free a “Gator”, six wheel vehicle, from a C-130 Hercules while stopped at the Port-au-Prince Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Haiti Jan. 19. The C-130 crew of six departed Dyess Air Force Base to support relief efforts following the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that devistated the Caribbean nation Jan. 14. The Air Force's airlift capability enables the United States to respond immediately to any disaster domestically or worldwide. We are the only country with an aircraft fleet capable of providing this type of response.
