Texas Congressman recognizes Dyess Civilian

DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Texas Congressman Randy Neugebauer presented Danny Dobbs, George Denslow, Staff Sgt. Daniel Thatcher and Ronald Miller with the Department of Energy’s Federal and Water Management Award here Feb. 22. In 2008 Dyess Air Force Base was able to save more than 160 million gallons of water and reduced energy consumption by 16.5 percent saving more than $1 million. The award, sponsored by the Department of Energy's Federal Energy Management Program, is given annually to recognize outstanding contributions toward increased energy efficiency, renewable energy and water conservation within the federal sector.
