DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas-- A Dyess Airman holds the original cover page of Charles Brown's collection of poems, "Bars from Bilibid Prison," June 2 at the Dyess Base Exchange here. Charles Brown was a Prisoner of War for three years in Bilibid prison Muntinlupa City, Philippines, during World War II.  Charles Brown wrote 90 poems and kept them hidden from the Japanese throughout his imprisonment. According to Blair Howell, founder and present owner of the collection, the display of Brown's original poems at the base exchange will remain for a couple weeks.
