The Dyess Base Service center, an affiliate of the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind, was awarded the Business of the Year Award from the Texas Department of Assistance and Rehabilitative Services. The award specifically recognizes the Base Service Center and the San Antonio Lighthouse for hiring employees who are blind or visually impaired. The SA Lighthouse employs more than 500 people, 250 of those are blind.
