Dyess Base Service center wins award
DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas—Harold Turner, Dyess Base Service Center employee, inventories receipts here Aug. 2.at the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind Dyess Base Service Center Aug. 2 here. The Dyess Base Service center, an affiliate of the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind, was awarded the Business of the Year Award from the Texas Department of Assistance and Rehabilitative Services. The award specifically recognizes the Base Service Center and the San Antonio Lighthouse for hiring employees who are blind or visually impaired. The SA Lighthouse employs more than 500 people, 250 of those are blind. Located at 110 3rd Street, building 7004, the center’s business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Brittney Smolinski)
