C-130 J
DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – A C-130 J model aircraft taxis down the runway here, Nov. 2. “Whether we’re bringing aid to flood victims in Pakistan, supporting our nation’s homeland defense, or air dropping critical supplies to forward units in Afghanistan, we will put this aircraft and the 26 others that follow to the test,” said Col. Dan Dagher, 317 AG commander. “Today marks the day where the capability of the 317 AG, Air Mobility Command and the Air Force has significantly increased, and starts another 49 years of C-130 presence in Abilene.”
