Team Dyess wins big at Global Strike Challenge
DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas—Col. David Been, 7th Bomb Wing commander, presents the Giant Sword Trophy Nov. 19 to maintainers who participated in the 2010 Global Strike Challenge here. Global Strike Challenge is the world’s premier bomber, intercontinental ballistic missile operations and security forces competition with units from Air Force Global Strike Command, Air Combat Command, Air Force Reserve Command and the Air National Guard. Team Dyess earned the Mithcell Trophy for Best Bomb, only 9 feet away from the target; Eaker Trophy for Best B-1 Operations; Best Bomb Munitions Maintenance Team Trophy; Ellis Giant Sword Trophy for Best Bomb Wing Maintenance; and the LeMay Trophy for Best Bomb Squadron, the 7th Operations Support Squadron.
