317 AG sponsors spring motorcycle ride
DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas—A group of motorcycles are parked in a line March 23 outside Marine Corps Detachment-1 prior to a 317th Airlift Group sponsored motorcycle ride here. Participants included members from the Green Knights Chapter 63, a military motorcycle club specifically for Dyess Airmen, dependents, DoD civilians and retirees. Riders received safety inspections, briefs and participated in a 40-minute ride. The reason for this ride was to highlight the practical application of proper safety gear, defensive riding and riding through different types of terrain. For more information on safety regulations refer to AFI 91-207, The U.S. Air Force Traffic Safety Program, or for more information on the Green Knights, log on to www.texasgreenknights.org.
