317 AG sponsors spring motorcycle ride
DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas—Staff Sgt. Alistair Adams, 317th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, goes through a checklist March 23 as he inspects his motorcycle outside Marine Corps Detachment-1 prior to a 317th Airlift Group sponsored motorcycle ride here. There were many participants to include members from the Green Knights chapter 63, a military motorcycle club specifically for Dyess Airmen, dependents, DoD civilians and retirees. At this event riders received safety inspections, briefs and participated in a 40-minute ride. The reason for this ride was to highlight the practical application of motorcycle safety skills such as the proper safety gear, defensive riding and riding through different types of terrain. For more information on safety regulations or the Green Knights refer to AFI 91-207, The U.S. Air Force Traffic Safety Program, or log on to www.texasgreenknights.org.
