DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas— Airman 1st Class Justin Smith, 7th Civil Engineer Squadron, provides the concrete while Clark Salisbury, 7 CES, evenly distributes it over the drop inlet box here, July 20. A drop inlet box functions as a flow-through treatment device providing a filtration of storm water runoff protecting roads from water and waste build up. The 7 CES maintains and repairs base facilities; conduct disaster preparedness training, fire protection and prevention activities; manage environmental programs; and handle housing responsibilities for accompanied and unaccompanied personnel.
