C-130Js weather the storm

C-130J Super Hercules from the 317th Airlift Group weather a storm Sept. 18, 2012, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. Dyess recently received its 23rd of 28 C-130Js. The C-130J is the newest generation of the C-130 Hercules which primarily performs the tactical portion of the airlift mission. The aircraft is capable of operating from rough, dirt strips and is the prime transport for air dropping troops and equipment into hostile areas. Once the final aircraft is delivered, Dyess will be home to the largest C-130J fleet in the world. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Damon Kasberg/ Released)
