Dyess Airmen conduct a Foreign Object Debris Oct. 1, 2012, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. More than 390 Airmen participated in this month’s Wing FOD walk and collected just under a half-pound of debris. FOD is a substance, debris or article alien to a vehicle or system which can cause significant damage. FOD walks are conducted to minimize possible damage to aircraft from debris.
