7th CES holds fire prevention week
Sparky the fire dog visits children in the Child Development Center during Fire Prevention Week Oct. 9, 2012, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. Sparky is a nationwide mascot that fire departments use to promote fire prevention and fire safety. Every October, fire departments throughout the country host fire education and awareness known as, Fire Prevention Week. This year’s theme is "Have Two Ways Out," encouraging families to reevaluate their exit strategies and incorporate a second exit. Fire Prevention Week was established to commemorate the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Jonathan Stefanko/ Released)
