U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Hunter Salge, 7th Civil Engineer Squadron, sits in the driver seat of the Remembrance Rescue Project's "Res4cue" May 8, 2013, at the fire department on Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. The Remembrance Rescue Project allows Res4cue, the single remaining rescue unit from New York City in service immediately after the terror attacks, to serve as a mobile memorial to educate, honor and remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001, and all fallen firefighters throughout the country. Res4cue was parked two blocks east of the south tower when the collapse occurred. The names of firefighters who died while serving as part of Res4cue and Res3cue on 9/11, are written on the doors of the fire truck. The project stopped at Dyess while in Abilene, Texas, on a national tour visiting schools, community events and memorials, to pay tribute to the many lives lost and to always remember the events that took place on 9/11.
