Dyess has received 27 of 28 J-models, replacing the legacy fleet of the C-130 H-models. The C-130 operates throughout the U.S. Air Force, serving with AMC, Air Force Special Operations Command, theater commands, the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve Command, fulfilling a wide range of operational missions in both peace and war situations.
