J-model #27 arrives at Dyess
U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Scott Goodwin, , Headquarters Air Mobility Command (AMC) director of operations, presents the honorary key to the 317th Airlift Group’s newest C-130J to U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Michael Webb, 317th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, May 22, 2013, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. Dyess has received 27 of 28 J-models, replacing the legacy fleet of the C-130 H-models. The C-130 operates throughout the U.S. Air Force, serving with AMC, Air Force Special Operations Command, theater commands, the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve Command, fulfilling a wide range of operational missions in both peace and war situations.
